Cardwave extend Team Partnership for 2016/2017

20th July 2016

Cardwave are delighted to announce that our longstanding partnership with Swindon Wildcats Ice Hockey Team has been extended for yet another full season. The sponsorship package has great benefit to the Wildcats, but Cardwave will also benefit from greater exposure and its association with the team.

Cardwave’s Chief Executive Paul Norbury commented: “These are very exciting times for the Wildcats, there is so much to look forward to next season and the team that Aaron has assembled will undoubtedly give all of us a season to look forward to. Everyone knows I am a massive supporter of the club so it is a real privilege to be associated with the club as a sponsor for a third season. My company works with customers all over the world but it is equally important that we promote ourselves locally. The media presence and interest in the team has grown so much in recent years that it really is a win-win for both of us”.

Wildcats Marketing Manager Sally Price commented: “With the amazing support that Cardwave have given us over the years, we’re absolutely thrilled to be working with them once again this coming season”.

As part of the sponsorship, Cardwave will be promoting its new service, Data Resus, on the entire rosters home and away jerseys for the whole season, along with rink-side advertising. Another Cardwave brand, SafeToGo, will also feature in the Game Day magazine The Lair.

Cardwave is a multi-award-winning technology services company providing specialist services and products to companies who use memory cards, flash drives and solid-state storage products, predominantly in the automotive and industrial computing markets. The company is based in Devizes and has an office in Dallas, Texas to support its customers in the US. In addition to the specialist services and products it provides, Cardwave has a growing business for individuals and small to medium sized businesses who need to protect their data and therefore comply with the new regulations on data security. SafeToGo is a very secure USB flash drive that anyone can use to keep their documents and personal data safe and Data Resus is a new service from Cardwave that can recover data from all types of digital media. Data Resus recovers lost files from USB drives, tablets, iPhones, memory cards, hard drives etc…

Data Resus is running a series of three themed photography competitions through Digital Photographer magazine, with the first theme – ‘Lost and Found’. Wildcats supporters are invited to join the readers of the photographic publication for the chance to win over £150 worth of prizes! For full details on how to enter, click HERE.

Wildcat supporters will also benefit from a 10% discount off data recoveries at www.dataresus.com by using the code “Wildcats” on checkout and discount codes will soon be available for SafeToGo.

In addition to the partnership, Cardwave have also become the official player sponsors of forward Adam Finlinson who was confirmed on the roster yesterday. As such, Adam will also sport additional Data Resus branding on his jersey during the year and benefit from name checks at all home fixtures during 2016-17.

Speaking about their sponsorship of Adam Finlinson, Paul Norbury said: “In Adam Finlinson, we are sponsoring one of the most talented young players in the league and I am pleased that he’s joined our team. He has a good attitude and works really hard, qualities I can relate to in my own business”

Concluding, Sally added: “We can’t tell you how much we appreciate the ongoing support from Cardwave, they always go that extra mile.

“Supporters will know just how much they have backed the club over the last few years – from sponsoring our Valentine’s Day themed games nights to providing coach travel for away fixtures, we can’t say how truly grateful we are to have them continue as our partners.”
