Cardwave is a specialist technology services company that supports content owners to market and distribute their material via a wide range of electronic media. With clients in the automotive, navigation, film, music and ebook industries, the company has helped to pioneer the accurate and secure delivery of content on memory cards, USB flash drives, hard disk drives, mobile phones and other portable devices.
Founded by current CEO, Paul Norbury, in 2004, the business’s core areas of expertise are project management, consultancy and engineering competency. With every client, Cardwave commits to a quality long-term relationship in which clients see their deadlines met and a support mechanism established that facilitates new business.
Unlike many of its competitors, Cardwave does not condone the drag and drop technique, ensuring instead that every programmed unit is identical through a 100% bit-by-bit checksum verification process. The company’s production facility in Devizes, Wiltshire, is the largest of its kind in Europe, capable of programming several thousand units per day.
Cardwave works with clients of all sizes across the world, providing specialist expertise across all content and digital rights management (DRM) disciplines. These include:
Cardwave is a Board member of the SD Card Association along with world renowned manufacturers such as Panasonic, SanDisk and Toshiba and currently holds the Regional Chair of the European Marketing Committee. The company is also actively involved in writing specifications to support next generation product development and applications.
