Reworking services

Frequently we receive USB flash drives that are sent to us for reworking because factories have not used the correct programming techniques, maybe the data has changed, the work was not satisfactory or the client changed their mind after the product was built. On some occasions, improper data has been added and to save embarrassment and time, we’ve been called into action. Cardwave is able to pick up the pieces, often at short notice, by communicating at a detailed engineering level with our clients about some of the complex issues which they need resolved. We restore calm and get your project back on track.
It’s not just USB flash drives that we rework, the same type of services are available for SD cards, mobile handsets, navigation systems and virtually any type of consumer electronic device.

Smart cards

The smart card industry is huge, very well established and as consumers, it impacts our lives every day. We are just beginning to see the convergence of smartcards and memory cards and with it, the creation of exciting new business models and products.

Fulfilment

At Cardwave, we have one of the largest facilities in Europe for programming flash memory, and this is crucial when clients are working to extremely tight deadlines as it gives us the capability to programme several thousand units per day. When the company was founded, Cardwave was synonymous with turning orders around in less than 24 hours, and that ability, twinned with a preciseness for detail and dedication to quality, has remained ever since. Cardwave has evolved and whilst fast turnaround is an attribute we are frequently recognised for, we have the capability and infrastructure needed to support you. What might be a short lead time for a client will be plenty of time to do the job for Cardwave. Quality will never be compromised by speed, but when a job reaches the production stage then it can be completed very quickly. Cardwave can always deliver.

Scalability

In meeting the requirements of the client, flexibility and scalability is essential. The Cardwave production workshop is well equipped, allowing the allocation of space, equipment and resources to support projects of any size. We mould ourselves to our client’s needs and to their business. We develop the facilities to meet our client’s requirements. We do not expect them to change to accommodate us, we adapt to their needs.

Service level agreements

Words are sometimes easy to say and we are never out to impress new clients with fancy presentations and over-exaggerated commitments. Our quality management system is important to us, so if we say we can support you, we’ll back up this commitment by implementing a service level agreement and monthly or quarterly business reviews.

Mastering

Most companies can put data on an SD card or set up a USB flash drive, you don’t need a lot of technical skill to do this but this isn’t exactly what we do. Cardwave understand the intricate details (the DNA) of the products we work with, we understand content and more importantly, we know how to put it together properly and then lock it down. We can also do clever things with cards and flash drives and make them behave in a particular way – this isn’t always easy, but we know what is possible and we have the knowledge and capability to do it.
